Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 August 2026
AirsoftConnect (“we”, “us”, “the app”) helps you discover airsoft playgrounds and events. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and your rights. Contact: airsofter.app@gmail.com.
1. Who is responsible
The operator of AirsoftConnect can be contacted at airsofter.app@gmail.com for any privacy request.
2. Data we process
- Account: email address, password (stored by Firebase Authentication), display name / first name, profile photo, account creation date.
- App activity: favorites, event RSVPs / attendance, attendee-list visibility preference, community event tip submissions and reports.
- Location: approximate location or country used to show you on the map and filter playgrounds by country. We do not store a continuous location history of your movements.
- Device & diagnostics: push notification tokens, crash diagnostics (Crashlytics), and—if you consent—analytics events about how you use the app.
- IP-based country: on launch we request your country name from an IP lookup service to personalize content and decide whether to show privacy choices required in your region.
3. Why we process data (purposes & legal bases)
- Provide the service (accounts, playgrounds, events, RSVPs, tips, maps): performance of a contract / steps you request.
- Firebase Analytics: only with your consent where required (e.g. EU/EEA/UK/Switzerland). You can accept, decline, or change this anytime in the app under Privacy & tracking.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash and stability diagnostics under our legitimate interest in keeping the app reliable and secure. Crashlytics runs even if you decline optional analytics. We do not intentionally attach your email or name to Crashlytics reports.
- Push notifications about upcoming events: based on your OS permission and our need to deliver the service you use.
- Security, abuse prevention, and support: legitimate interests.
4. Third parties / processors
We use providers that process personal data on our behalf or as described below (not every local app library):
- Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Hosting, Cloud Functions.
- Mapbox — maps and related location/map usage in the app.
- Apple WeatherKit (iOS) — weather for playground coordinates.
- Telegram — admin notifications when community event tips are submitted (may include submitter display name and tip details).
- ipconfig.io — IP-based country detection used at app launch.
5. International transfers
Some providers (including Google Firebase and Mapbox) may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
6. Retention
- Account and profile data: while your account exists.
- RSVPs, favorites, tips, and reports: while needed to operate the service or until removed/deleted.
- Analytics and crash data: according to the retention settings of Google Firebase for our project.
- You can delete your account from the app settings; that removes your Firebase Authentication account and related profile record we control. Contact us if you need help with residual data.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location (including under the GDPR), you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Withdraw consent for Analytics at any time (Privacy & tracking in the app) without affecting Crashlytics needed for stability
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Email airsofter.app@gmail.com to exercise these rights.
8. Children
AirsoftConnect is intended for users who are old enough to use airsoft-related services under applicable local law. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children where that is not permitted. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you should review the new policy.
